In accordance with the latest announcement from the Hong Kong Department of Health (Link: https://bit.ly/med-gas), effective June 14, 2026, all medical gases (including medical oxygen) will be regulated as "Pharmaceutical Products" under the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as the "Ordinance"). Oxygen cylinders that meet the required standards and were manufactured before the Ordinance takes effect may continue to be used legally. However, the rental or refilling of oxygen cylinders after the Ordinance takes effect must comply with regulatory requirements.
